Softball Recap: Wilber-Clatonia Beats Southern/Diller-Odell for Their Third Straight Victory

Wilber-Clatonia hadn't done well against Southern/Diller-Odell recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Southern/Diller-Odell. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won three contests in a row.

Kariss Rosenthal and Gabby Vlcan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rosenthal didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. In other batting news, Mollie Bates was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Aria Polite was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Wilber-Clatonia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Wilber-Clatonia's record now sits at 13-11. As for Southern/Diller-Odell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
