Football Game Preview: Tyler Legacy Raiders vs. Longview Lobos

Tyler Legacy is 0-9 against Longview since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Raiders will host the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. Tyler Legacy has given up an average of 46 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tyler Legacy came up short against Royse City on Friday, falling 38-17. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Longview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 28-24 to Forney.

Tyler Legacy will need to focus on slowing down MASON WASHINGTON, one of several Longview players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 153 yards and one score on only 13 carries. WASHINGTON's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. JOHNNY HAMILTON was another key player, throwing for 241 yards and one TD while completing 86.7% of his passes.

Tyler Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Longview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Tyler Legacy suffered a grim 38-18 defeat to Longview when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Raiders, Kelvin Washington (who rushed for 174 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
