West Adams waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 26-23 win over the Manual Arts Toilers. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Toilers two weeks ago, they had to take a 45-27 loss.

West Adams' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heidi Martinez, who posted eight points.

West Adams pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points over those games. As for Manual Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
