Soccer Game Preview: Round Lake vs. Larkin

The Round Lake Panthers will square off against the Larkin Royals at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Round Lake is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on North Chicago with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Meanwhile, Larkin got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Aurora East by a score of 3-1. Larkin found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Alan Chavez and Ulises Flores were both handed yellow cards.

The win got Larkin back to even at 5-5-3. As for Round Lake, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Round Lake took their victory against Larkin when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
