Softball Recap: Crestwood's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Crestwood has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 10-1 to the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Cadets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Crestwood's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Crestwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-2 victory against New Hampton on the 8th. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, they will challenge Oelwein on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
