Volleyball Recap: Sanderson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middle Creek, Sanderson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cary Imps as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Imps back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Sanderson was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-24, 25-23.

Sanderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryleigh Roche led the charge by getting 17 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Roche a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mireya Chavez, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Sanderson's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for Cary, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Sanderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against East Wake on the 6th. As for Cary, they will face off against Felton Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
