Soccer Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Cobb last Friday, Etowah came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Forsyth Central Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Etowah couldn't quite close it out.

Etowah's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Forsyth Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Coming up, Etowah will be playing at home against Sequoyah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sequoyah's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Forsyth Central, they will head out on the road to take on West Forsyth at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forsyth Central are facing West Forsyth at the right time seeing as West Forsyth are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
