Baseball Recap: Win-E-Mac Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Win-E-Mac came out on top against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Patriots walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Northern Freeze. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Northern Freeze, too.

Hayden Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Win-E-Mac got a massive performance out of Nathaniel Spry, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Spry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Strom, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Win-E-Mac's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
