It was a good run, but Wilkes-Barre unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 52-37 bruising from the Pittston Patriots. The Wolfpack were probably out for revenge after losing 40-35 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wilkes-Barre's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pittston, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Wilkes-Barre and Pittston should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Wilkes-Barre (ranked 187th) will meet Lackawanna Trail (ranked 500th) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pittston will face off against Berwick at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025 up 424 places (54 vs. 478).
