Softball Recap: Oak Park Comes Up Short

Liberty hit Oak Park with a seven-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Northmen came up short against the Blue Jays, falling 15-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Northmen of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Oak Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karissa Davis, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Oak Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Liberty, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Oak Park will host Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against North Kansas City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
