Soccer Recap: Branson Falls Short of Redwood in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Branson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Redwood Giants by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Bulls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Branson's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Redwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Branson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redwood, they will head out to take on Tamalpais at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Redwood's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
