Recap: Willits Wolverines vs. Kelseyville Knights
The Willits Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 58-39 fall against Kelseyville. Willits has not had much luck with Kelseyville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Willits saw an underclassman step up: Cecily Potter scored 19 points. Potter continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Wright, who scored nine points.
Willits bumped their record down to 9-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.6 points per game. As for Kelseyville, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Willits will look to defend their home court on Friday against Upper Lake at 7:00 p.m. As for Kelseyville, they will head out on the road to challenge Clear Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
