Volleyball Recap: Newman Grove/St. Edward Comes Up Short

Newman Grove/St. Edward lost against Riverside back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Chargers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7.

Newman Grove/St. Edward's offense was headlined by Piper Jarecki and Kailey Patzel, who picked up two kills apiece. Patzel also shared the team's lead in assists with Olivia Reardon: they picked up three each.

Newman Grove/St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Newman Grove/St. Edward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Osceola on the 9th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Twin Loup on the 9th.
