Softball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence suffered their biggest defeat since June 11th on Tuesday. They lost 13-2 to the West Delaware Hawks. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for West Delaware, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Delaware beat Independence by a score of 4-3 later that day.
