Football Recap: Shiprock Comes Up Short at Home Against Navajo Prep + How To Watch

Shiprock unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-9 defeat at the hands of the Navajo Prep Eagles on Friday. The Chieftains haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Blake Begay threw for 59 yards and one TD. Akoni Clah was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Shiprock is taking a road trip to challenge Moriarty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Navajo Prep, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Wingate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
