Washington Union won against Golden West on Thursday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Panthers took down the Minarets Mustangs 45-26. That looming 45-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Leading Washington Union to victory were Leshay Leavy and Esmeralda Guerrero/Avila. Leavy almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards, while Guerrero/Avila went 5-for-11 on her way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Leavy is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kaleia Brown was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Washington Union has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Minarets fell to 2-1.
