Baseball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Rootstown Rovers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Rovers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dalton Braybon was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Rootstown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will challenge Heartland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rootstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Reserve at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
