Basketball Game Preview: Clovis Cougars vs. Clovis East Timberwolves

The Clovis Cougars will square off against the Clovis East Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Clovis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

On Saturday, Clovis didn't have too much trouble with Sierra Pacific as they won 68-52. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 76th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clovis East took a blow against Clovis West on Friday, falling 91-30. The matchup marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Clovis East's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Clovis, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.

Clovis took their win against Clovis East when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 67-45. Does Clovis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clovis East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
