Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Beechcroft

The Independence 76ers will face off against the Beechcroft Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Independence fell victim to Whitehall-Yearling and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Rams. Independence have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Beechcroft made easy work of Walnut Ridge on Thursday and carried off a 6-3 win.

The Cougars' offense was hitting the Scots from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. David Obembe led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Beechcroft's victory bumped their record up to 5-9-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Independence beat Beechcroft by a goal in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 4-3. Do the 76ers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
