While Mayo's win against New Prague wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans skirted past the Trojans 27-24. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Mayo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for New Prague, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
