Basketball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Lincoln Hornets by a score of 45-43 on Monday. The Grizzlies just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, California still got an impressive performance from Sofie Addiego, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Taylor Lim was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

California's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

When California and Lincoln next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. California will try to stop Rancho Buena Vista's three-game winning streak when the meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. California is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Lincoln will try to stop Coronado's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
