Baseball Game Preview: Sturgis Trojans vs. Niles Vikings

The Sturgis Trojans will square off against the Niles Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sturgis is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Sturgis and Otsego, and Otsego kept the tradition alive. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Julien Lambright made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Byron Center typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Niles proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 8-5.

Sturgis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Niles, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 22-7.
