Softball Recap: Milton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Milton fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Francis on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since September 10th.

Elizabeth Wilkes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Kirby, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Milton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10. As for St. Francis, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Milton will head out to square off against Johns Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hebron Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
