Basketball Game Preview: Antelope Titans vs. West Park Panthers

The Antelope Titans will square off against the West Park Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Antelope lost to McClatchy at home by a 72-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Lions are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely West Park's strategy against Cordova on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that West Park blew Cordova out of the water with a 70-29 final score. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Park has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
