Baseball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

Exeter and Garces Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Exeter had to settle for second. They fell 7-4 to the Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Monarchs have lost by exactly three runs.

Jett Johnston made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Madden Pasos was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Exeter's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-11-1. As for Garces Memorial, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-14.

Exeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garces Memorial, they will take on Templeton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
