Soccer Recap: Central Crossing Comes Up Short

After flying high against Buckeye Valley on Monday, Central Crossing came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the Grove City Greyhounds by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Central Crossing were not able to make up for their defeat to Grove City from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Central Crossing's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11. As for Grove City, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Central Crossing will be taking part in a tournament against Olentangy Berlin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grove City, they will take on Hilliard Bradley in a tournament on Wednesday.
