Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rim of the World walked away with it. They skirted past the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles 5-4. The Fighting Scots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, too.

Rim of the World is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six games. Desert Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Coming up, Rim of the World will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Marshall comes in on nine and Rim of the World on three. Desert Hot Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
