Softball Recap: Kiefer's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Kiefer put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Ripley Warriors 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Kiefer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Counts, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases were Counts' first of the season.

Kiefer hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Kiefer's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, Kiefer will host Kellyville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ripley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against North Rock Creek on the 14th.
