Flowery Branch entered their tilt with Eastside on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 32-28 W against the Eagles. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 48-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flowery Branch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brett Strum, who threw for 327 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. Tre Shields was Strum's top target, picking up 153 receiving yards and one score.

Flowery Branch's defense stepped up as well, laying out Payton Shaw five times. In that department, Nick Hall was the leader with two sacks. Hall is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season. Riley Bourrie was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles and snagged an interception which he returned for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Eastside still got an impressive performance from Myles Mims, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns.

Flowery Branch's record is now 4-1. As for Eastside, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Flowery Branch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-19 win against East Forsyth on the 25th. As for Eastside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 30-14 victory against Madison County on the 26th.
