Basketball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Sun Valley on Tuesday, Butler came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Jackson Day Mariners on Saturday, falling 61-40.

Jackson Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ahylia White out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. White has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Marshall, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Butler now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jackson Day, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Butler will host Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Day, they are taking a road trip to take on Queen's Grant at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners' defense better be ready for this one: the Stallions have averaged an impressive 58.9 points per game this season.
