Softball Recap: Lakewood Starts off Right with Win over Conifer

Lakewood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Conifer Lobos with a sharp 21-4 win on Saturday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

NeVaeh Roybal was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Gallegos was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Green Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conifer, they will welcome Denver East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
