Farmington took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eastview Lightning by a score of 35-28. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Eastview lost, don't look at JC Green. Despite the final result, he rushed for 112 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also threw for 26 yards and one TD. Green also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes.

Looking ahead, Farmington will head out on the road to face off against Lakeville North at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Eastview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosemount at 7:00 p.m. on September 6.
