Basketball Game Preview: Woodside Wildcats vs. Sequoia Ravens

The Woodside Wildcats will head out to face off against the Sequoia Ravens at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Woodside took on Burlingame on Friday. Woodside took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burlingame. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Panthers are ranked 316th).

Meanwhile, Sequoia didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South San Francisco on Friday, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory.

Sequoia's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Woodside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Woodside strolled past Sequoia when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
