Wesson had won four straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-0 to make it five. They walked away with a 49-41 win over the Loyd Star Hornets. The Cobras' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Damarion Smith had a dynamite game, picking up 111 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Wesley Loy also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards.

Wesson didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Loyd Star to a completion percentage of just 42.1%. The team can thank Brandon Hutt for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wesson has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.59 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.59 in their last three games.
