Guadalupe Valdenegro leads Rio Vista to victory over Vacaville Christian

The Rio Vista Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Vacaville Christian 61-37. Rio Vista has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Guadalupe Valdenegro, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Lopez, who scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

Vacaville Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Macy Graves, who scored eight points along with ten steals, and Lexi Martinez who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.

The win (which was Rio Vista's eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Vacaville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Rio Vista will be playing at home against Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Vista is coming into the matchup with six straight wins at home, so Highlands is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Vacaville Christian will take on Esparto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vacaville Christian is facing Esparto at the right time seeing as Esparto is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
