Football Recap: Central Piles Up the Points Against Mundy's Mill + How To Watch

Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mundy's Mill Tigers 56-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Tigers are ranked 280th).

Leading Central to victory were JR Harris and Jonaz Walton. Harris threw for 134 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes, while Walton rushed for 61 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Walton also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles. Another rusher making a difference was Jacez Walton, who rushed for 86 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaelyn Weingart and Jarell Long.

Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mundy's Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Central will challenge Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mundy's Mill, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
