Football Game Preview: Logan Wildcats vs. Clay County Panthers

The Logan Wildcats will face off against the Clay County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Clay County will be up against a hot Logan squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 32-6 margin over Wayne last Friday. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Logan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zo Murphy, who picked up 149 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Clay County made easy work of South Harrison on Friday and carried off a 37-16 win.

Clay County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Logan took a serious blow against Clay County in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, falling 48-14. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 28-7.
