Softball Recap: Brentwood Beats Edmund Burke Academy for Their 14th Straight Victory

Brentwood put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the War Eagles have posted since August 5th.

Skylee Duggan was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August of 2024. Addison Welch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Brentwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, Edmund Burke Academy will challenge Georgia School for Innovation & Classics at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Brentwood will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' game: after the Spartans face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Brentwood again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
