Baseball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wayne County and Cartersville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Wayne County had to settle for second. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

Wayne County's loss dropped their record down to 32-7. As for Cartersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Wayne County nor Cartersville have any future games scheduled.
