Preview: Hanford Bullpups vs. Mission Oak Hawks
Hanford has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mission Oak Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Hanford beat Tulare Western 53-45.
It was another big night for Kenyah Stubbs, who scored 32 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hanford's points. Jadyn Enriquez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Mission Oak waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 46-45 win over Tulare Union. Given Mission Oak's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Tulare Union is ranked 559th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hanford's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Mission Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Hanford beat Mission Oak 53-45 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Hanford repeat their success, or does Mission Oak have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
