Basketball Game Preview: St. Bernard's Crusaders vs. Eureka Loggers

The St. Bernard's Crusaders will face off against the Eureka Loggers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with St. Bernard's sitting on five straight wins and Eureka on six.

St. Bernard's is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 77-36 victory over Hoopa Valley. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Eureka didn't have too much trouble with Del Norte on Monday as they won 48-31. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Loggers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Warriors are ranked 355th).

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for St. Bernard's, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.

St. Bernard's couldn't quite finish off Eureka when the teams last played back in January and fell 54-52. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
