Softball Recap: Dalton Catamounts vs. Cartersville Hurricanes
Dalton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-14. They came up short against the Cartersville Hurricanes, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-0 defeat back in August.
As for Cartersville, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games.
For Cartersville's part, Presley Crabbe looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Crabbe has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Cartersville's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit.
