Softball Recap: West Forsyth's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, West Forsyth brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Forsyth Central Bulldogs with a sharp 20-12 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

West Forsyth got a massive performance out of Tenley Lynch, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Lynch has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Ferguson, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

With the victory, West Forsyth broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-15. As for Forsyth Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20-1 record this season.

West Forsyth will have a chance to go back-to-back against Forsyth Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
