Basketball Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Silver Creek Raiders

King's Academy hasn't had much luck against Silver Creek recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The King's Academy Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Silver Creek Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

King's Academy is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Notre Dame on Tuesday. King's Academy fell 47-39 to Notre Dame.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evergreen Valley. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 881st, while the Cougars are ranked 126th).

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

King's Academy came up short against Silver Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 54-46. Thankfully for King's Academy, Caitlin Cadigal (who posted 25 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
