Recap: Grant Lancers vs. North Hollywood Huskies
The Grant Lancers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They blew past North Hollywood 57-21 at home. The win was just what Grant needed coming off of a 61-24 loss in their prior match.
Valeria Vega continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 21 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Quinones, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Grant has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for North Hollywood, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for North Hollywood, they will head out on the road to face off against Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poly presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Hollywood in California (Poly is ranked 232nd, while North Hollywood is ranked 937th).
