Basketball Game Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Rim of the World Fighting Scots

Having just played yesterday, the Citrus Hill Hawks will get right back to it and host the Rim of the World Fighting Scots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Hill is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Citrus Hill duked it out with La Sierra on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 34-32.

Meanwhile, Rim of the World played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 43-22 to Indio.

Despite the loss, Rim of the World saw an underclassman step up: freshman Shalay Wilson posted 12 points. Wilson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Citrus Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rim of the World, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Citrus Hill's way against Rim of the World in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Citrus Hill made off with a 61-40 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Fighting Scots' Jordan Dever, who earned 28 points.
