Preview: Bakersfield Christian Eagles vs. Westview Wildcats
Bakersfield Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Bakersfield Christian Eagles and the Westview Wildcats will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Hopefully Bakersfield Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
Last Friday, Bakersfield Christian got the win against Torres by a conclusive 65-42.
Bakersfield Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Shein , who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The game was Shein 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Francies, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Westview came up short against Forest Grove last Monday and fell 57-47. While losing is never fun, Westview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Forest Grove is ranked third).
Bakersfield Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Westview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
