Baseball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ridgeland's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Adairsville Tigers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Ridgeland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Platt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double marked the first that Platt hit this season.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Adairsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

While Ridgeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
