Basketball Recap: Chester Clippers vs. Interboro Buccaneers
The Chester Clippers won against the Interboro Buccaneers last Tuesday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Chester came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 54-41. Given Chester's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 616th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Dennis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. Imani Dorsey was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Chester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Interboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Interboro, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m.
