Recap: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. El Toro Chargers
After a string of seven wins, the Sage Creek Bobcats's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of El Toro.
Sage Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gia Kiesling, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Kiesling is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Hannah Keehn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for El Toro, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Sage Creek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holy Martyrs Armenian at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Holy Martyrs Armenian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. El Toro is on the road again on Thursday and play against Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
